The knot takes alot of hair.... I do my round braid first  very very fine.... then do the knot.      

I can do it more open weave knot , or tight like it shows in the pic.

 

The turk knot can also hold a bead ball/stone  in a color you want, and hung on earring hook, or could be left open with no bead, and used as earring as well.
